How Laurent got into iGaming

Laurent’s background is in iGaming and crypto casinos specifically, work that put him in direct contact with the white label provider market long before he started this site. In his own words from the interview:

“I’ve been in the iGaming industry for multiple years. I’ve been as well in crypto before, especially in crypto casinos. And I noticed that there are more and more providers in the iGaming sector who want to help people to start their online casinos. And I started looking into them and this market is just very transparent.”

That last line is doing some quiet work. He means the opposite of transparent, and he says as much a moment later: some providers charge a high monthly fee, some have a monthly minimum buried in the contract, some operate under licences that do not hold up to scrutiny. Comparing them properly meant going provider by provider and checking what each one charges, not what their sales page says.

Why he built best-white-label-casinos.org

The site exists because that comparison did not exist anywhere else in a form operators could use. From the interview:

“I just felt that I would give the industry a service if I would just compare all of them in a way that is very easy for people to understand what is the best online white label software for their online casino. Some of them have a very big budget, some of them are just getting started. Based on who they are, I wanted to make a small website to help people to compare and understand what is the best for them.”

That’s the whole premise behind the platform comparison on this site: not every operator has the same budget or the same timeline, so the right platform depends on who is asking, not a single universal answer.

On choosing the right platform provider

Laurent was direct about how high the stakes are when an operator picks the wrong platform:

“Choosing the right iGaming platform is really a make or break. Because if you pick the wrong one that doesn’t match your needs, then you can end up being locked in. If you pick something that’s too expensive, you’re going to go bankrupt immediately.”

He walked through what used to be required to launch an online casino from scratch: a CRM, a technical team, a gambling licence, game provider agreements, and enough liquidity on hand to pay out winners the moment someone has a lucky session. That last point gets a worked example in the interview, a player deposits $50,000, bets it on red, and wins, and the operator needs to be able to pay that out immediately or risk being called a scam on Reddit before the week is out.
