How AI Is Changing iGaming Operations and Marketing

Laurent Zachar 5 October 2026 ยท Laurent Zachar

AI in iGaming gets talked about mostly in the context of fraud detection and player risk scoring, but thatโ€™s not where our founder Laurent Zachar focused in his Legacy Builders podcast interview. This is the final article in our 5-part series drawn from that conversation, covering the two places AI is showing up right now: inside the platform dashboard itself, and in how operators make their ad creative.

AI inside the platform dashboard

The first place Laurent pointed to in the interview is the operator-facing dashboard itself, specifically the parts that used to require a designer:

โ€œNow with AI, you can generate banners, you can generate images directly from the dashboard. So you donโ€™t need to hire a designer anymore to create your banners or your promotional images.โ€

Thatโ€™s a direct extension of the dashboard-customization point covered in part 4 of this series: the less an operator has to outsource for routine marketing assets, the lower the ongoing cost of running the brand. Generating a promotional banner from inside the platform instead of commissioning one removes both the cost and the turnaround time of a design request.

Why AI is pushing platform prices down

Laurent connected this directly to whatโ€™s made platforms like whitelabels.com able to offer a lower setup cost than they could a few years ago:

โ€œAI is helping to reduce the cost for the platform providers too. Because before, you needed more people to build and maintain these features. Now, some of that can be done faster and cheaper, and that gets passed on to the operator.โ€

This matters for the pricing discussion in this seriesโ€™ article on whether cheapest means best: platform providers arenโ€™t just competing on margin, some of the price drop is a real cost reduction passed through from AI-assisted development and operations work, not a race to the bottom that sacrifices quality.

AI-made ad creative, and the Degenerate Panda example

The other use case Laurent raised is on the marketing side, specifically ad creative for channels like Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter. AI tools now let operators generate video and image ad variations quickly instead of running a traditional production process for every campaign. He pointed to a concrete example that had circulated in the industry:

โ€œThere was this thing called โ€˜Degenerate Pandaโ€™ that went viral, it was an AI-generated video used for marketing an online casino, and it got a huge amount of attention and engagement. That shows you how AI-made content can genuinely perform in this space.โ€

The broader point isnโ€™t that any single AI-made ad goes viral, most donโ€™t, itโ€™s that the cost and speed of testing multiple ad concepts has dropped enough that operators can iterate on creative the way they iterate on landing pages, rather than treating every ad as a major production investment.

What this means for operators choosing a platform today

Taken together with the rest of this series, AI isnโ€™t replacing any of the fundamentals covered in part 2 or part 3: an operator still needs a licence, liquidity, the right games and payment methods for each market. What AI is doing is lowering the cost of the parts around those fundamentals, dashboard tooling and marketing creative specifically, which is part of why self-service platforms with low setup fees have become viable in a way they werenโ€™t several years ago.

FAQ

How is AI used inside white label casino platforms?

Mainly for generating promotional assets, banners and images, directly from the platform dashboard, removing the need to hire a designer for routine marketing material. It also helps platform providers reduce their own development and maintenance costs.

Does AI reduce the cost of white label platforms?

Based on this interview, yes in part. Providers that use AI to build and maintain dashboard features need fewer people to do it, and that cost reduction can get passed on to operators as lower setup fees.

What was the โ€œDegenerate Pandaโ€ example about?

Itโ€™s an AI-generated marketing video for an online casino that went viral, cited in the interview as an example of AI-made ad creative genuinely performing rather than just being cheaper to produce.

Does AI replace the need for licensing, liquidity, or local payment methods?

No. AI is lowering the cost of dashboard tooling and marketing creative specifically. The core requirements covered earlier in this series, a licence, liquidity, localized games, and local payment methods, are unchanged.

Where does this series start if I want to read it from the beginning?

Part 1 covers the full interview with our founder, including how he got into iGaming and why he built this site.
